Singer Ringtone Apoko has gone to respond to Citizen Digital posts about educated musicians saying education doesn’t beat discipline. Responding to Citizen Digital, Ringtone says that most educated musicians in Kenya are broke while the least educated are living large.

The article mentioned Nameless,  professionally a trained architect at the University of Nairobi but has maintained both his profession and his musical career. His Wife Wahu graduated from the University of Nairobi with a degree in Mathematics, Nadia who did Business Administration and finance from Maseno University, and the recent musical act Ndovu Kuu, who did Aeronautical Engineering from the East Africa School of Aviation.

Ringtone responded to the post saying, “Nameless, Savara, Ndovu, Nadia are most very learned musicians, with big degrees but @citizentvkenya are refuse to told us that all are broke and stragling their education is not bring money actually @akotheekenya a skul dropout is live large. Myself am not in there league,”  Ringtone said.

The singer added that being educated does not guarantee one success, but being disciplined.

“Masomo isn’t everything but descine, hard work, sacrifice and fearing god. Am reachest musician at east Africa,” he said.

What do you think about his comments, do you think education beats discipline?
