Artistes who join politics are failures says Willy Paul
Singer Willy Paul has said that he would never join politics as it’s a field set aside for failures. Pozze as he is fondly known says people especially creatives who join politics are people who want to look for new ventures to oppress people below them.
Speaking in an interview with SPM Buzz during the launch of his album he said, “Msanii anaingia politics ni failure. Anajua hawezi survive kwa industry so anataka aingie pale anyanyase watu. I am not a failure I cannot join politics.”
Some artists have already decided to join politics. Recently singer Rufftone announced that he was interested in joining politics. He joins veteran singer Jaguar in the parliament as well. Other creatives have also expressed their interest in politics. Celebrities like Jalango will be vying for political seats in 2022 for the Lang’ata MP seat.
MC Jessy will be vying for the South Imenti MP seat.
