Willy Paul’s album The African Experience has sampled all over Africa

Willy Paul just held a small gathering for his album listening party at his home and many industry stakeholders were missing from the event. The artist had previously mentioned that he does not want to be like the rest of the industry players who want to hold big listening parties but don’t really want to support each other.

In a press conference held during his listening party, Pozze said that it cost him a lot of money just to put the album together since he was sampling different artists all over the continent.

“Wacha tuende mbali, album ikona tracks 19, tukona Gyptian kutoka Jamaica, he’s never done a collabo with any African, he’s sung with Nicki Minaj and no me, Daphne who is the biggest female artist in Cameroun, Eddy Kenzo- legend UG, Jux- King of RNB TZ, Kelly Khumalo a really big artist in South Africa, just putting those collabos together has really cost me a lot money,” he said.

“The album has like 200, 000 streams in two days- we’re organic so I think we’re doing good”
