Muthoni Drummer Queen is a whole Mythology on ‘River’
Every artist has that coming-of-age album or song in their career line. in my honest opinion, ‘River’ is Muthoni’s coming-of-age album. In a well-executed manner, Muthoni Drummer Queen has let us and her fans into her most vulnerable space of who she really is and how she feels.
Throughout the album, you can feel words of affirmation from the rapper and singer who keeps you on your toes with her beats and sound. She has infused the Kenyan taste, reggae, and contemporary sounds in the album.
“Niko Wera si kutafuta ma rates, mi natafuatanga pesa after tumeinvest- its gotta be me”, “Muthoni is a whole Mythology”,”This time open for me”, “vile nimejipima siezi kushikika” are some of the bars dropped across different songs on the album. Muthoni shared her inspiration on Instagram
