“Jerusalema”, the biggest song of the Covid 19.
It goes without saying that ”Jerusalema” was one of the biggest songs of the pandemic in 2020. The anthem criss crossed dimly lit club corridors to boardrooms in the name of the “Jerusalema challenge”.
Master KG the man behind this successful song is a man not many mentioned before the hit song. Born Kgaogelo Moagi in South Africa Master KG has certainly done his part in the music scene. In 2018 his debut song “Skeleton” received 6 nominations at the Afrima, Limpopo Music Awards, and SABC summer songs awards.
Out of the 6 nominations Mater KG ended up winning 3 in the categories of Best Artiste in African Electro, Song of the Year and the Best Dance Song of the year. In 2019 he continued in his winning ways by the winning Best Male Artist Southern Africa at the African Musik Magazine Awards.
Master KG’s biggest year was in 2020 when he released the song “Jerusalema” a song that has so far earned him 18 nominations in different categories. Out of the 18 nominations received he has so far won 12 awards in the categories of the International song of the year at the NRJ Music Awards, Song of the Year at the 2020 African Entertainment Awards in the USA, Record of the Year at the Global Music Awards Africa.
The song also earned master KG a crown of African Artist of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
