Teenage start Trio Mio seems in every hit song in the country right now. The singer who is still in school opens up about how ‘Sipangwingwi’ the biggest song last month happened.

It is no doubt that Sipangwingi became a national anthem. The three Exray, Trio Mio, and Ssaru has shaken up the industry. Speaking to Mpasho the rapper said,

“Exray alinihit akaniambia nikona track fulani hapa unaeza dandia, nikamshow tuma, after like two days I sent him the stems and Ssaru akatokelea na tukafanya shughuli fulani. Nilikuwa nimejazika na io trend ya ‘Ngwi Ngwi’  so nikaikalia an nikaandika ma mistari plus imeleta jina mpya io ‘sipangwingwi’. Like huwezi pangwa na wewe ni mtu mzima so nilike sana na after Ssaru aingilie ikakuwa record na tukashoot video na song ikatoka. ”

The song became a sensation and the social media pages were having a field trip with it. Tiktok had the  man in the market dancing to the song with peple looking at him saying ‘Maisha ni yangu, we shughulika na yako- mi sipagwingwi’ .

By January the song had garnered four million views- a record in itself. Currently, the song is headed to 5 million views in just 2 months.
