Album Review: Lexkiss The Party Animal – Into The Third Floor

Lexkiss The Party Animal recently shared his new album Into The Third Floor with Bloga Flani and what ensued was a look into the project that was celebrating a milestone that the singer had reached. The album is first of all a celebration of his growth. The singer turned 30 6 days ago and the title of the album gives evidence of that.

Into The Third Floor is an album revolving around Lexkiss’s growth in his music and also as an individual. The first track is the title track. It explores his growth as an artist and also celebrates his getting older in the music industry. The artist has been in the music business for 11 years and this track speaks to that.

The second track is a thanksgiving track that is done in the Meru language. The track gives special mention to the Lord and explores how Lexkiss is thankful for the far he has come. I could not understand clearly what was being talked about but the concept in the title track gave me an idea.

Track number six explores Slayqueen Mang’aa. Lexkiss reveals that his taste in women is the usual slayqueens. This track appeals to dancehall lovers and explores the theme that is related to dancehall music. The track is also repeated in Meru to make track number seven.

On the playlist, Lexkiss adds track number nine which explores love and relationships. The flow on the track was a huge struggle. The beat was popular riddim but the delivery from Lexkiss on this one was wanting. The writing was also a bit of a let down for a track on a riddim with massive appeal.

My favorite song on the whole list was his partnership with Royal Mitchell. The lady came through with beautiful vocals that ensured the song sounded good. Single room is track number five on the album and the addition of a vocalist was better. This would be a reccommendation for Lexkiss to work more with vocalists and also have vocal training himself.
