Wakadinali dropped their second installment of the what is turning out to be an album franchise in Victims of Madness. As Bloga Flani, my first listen came with a bit of disappointment especially with the choice of beats and sometimes lack of flow. Then came the second, the third, fourth and now anytime I log onto YouTube that is the only album I have on repeat.
Wakadinali have always been raw in their delivery and Victims of Madness 2 cements the idea that they came with into the industry. The group has not gone commercial or tried to appeal to a new fanbase. They have stuck with the fans who pushed them to the top. The 22 track album focuses on what they have gone through as a group and continues to speak to their dominance in Kenyan Hip Hop.
The album requires you listen to it more times to start getting the gist and what it is addressing. The volume of tracks also makes it a bit complex to just review the album in one sitting. This is an album that will grow on you the more you listen to it.![]()
However, there are standout tracks like Dream Team which go showcase the chemistry that Scar Mkadinali, Munga Domani and Sewersydda have had for a long time. Za Kimotho, which already has a video out is also another track that deserves to be listened to, carefully. I liked Rong Cypher 3 because of my being skeptical on the first listen but then going back and finding out that it is a masterpiece.
Victims of Madness 2 is a powerful statement by Wakadinali—a middle finger to the sanitized music industry and a celebration of Nairobi street culture. It’s not an easy listen, but that’s the point. It’s rebellious, loud, unfiltered art. If you appreciate raw storytelling and unapologetic realism in hip hop, it’s a must-listen.

More than anything, Victims of Madness 2 is a statement of dominance. It cements Wakadinali as not just kings of Kenyan hip-hop, but voices of a generation that refuses to be silenced or sanitized. For longtime fans, it’s a deeper, sharper continuation of their story. For newcomers, it’s a loud introduction to the madness—and the mastery—that defines their sound. Whether you agree with the message or not, one thing is clear: VoM2 doesn’t ask for permission. It kicks the door down.
